Common Questions

Do patients need to pay?

Many services are funded through ACC at no cost to eligible patients. For non-ACC patients, we offer competitive private rates. Contact us to discuss your specific situation before your first appointment.

How do I make a referral?

Complete the referral form above or contact us by phone or email. We will respond within one business day to confirm the referral and arrange a convenient visit time.

How far do you travel?

We currently service Dunedin and the wider Otago region, with services extending into Central Otago. Contact us if you are unsure whether we cover your area.

What happens at the first appointment?

We visit you at your home, rest home, or clinic at an agreed time. The first appointment includes a full orthotic assessment which typically takes 45 to 60 minutes. We will explain everything clearly and answer all your questions.

Can rest homes arrange regular visits?

Yes. We offer one time, monthly, quarterly, six-monthly, and annual service contracts for rest homes and allied health facilities. Contact us to discuss a plan that suits your residents and your schedule.

Who can refer a patient?

Referrals are accepted from GPs, surgeons, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, podiatrists, rest home staff, and other allied health professionals. Family members and patients can also contact us directly.

What are your hours?

We operate Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm. Weekend appointments are available on request — contact us to discuss availability.

Is there a cost for the home visit itself?

Any travel charges are communicated clearly before your appointment. ACC funded patients have many costs covered directly. Private patients receive a full fee breakdown before any service begins.
